İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (İTÜ) bu yıl 242'inci kuruluş yıldönümünü kutluyor.
Istanbul Technical University (ITU) is celebrating the 242nd anniversary of its founding in 1773 in this year.

 

Istanbul Technical University (ITU), the first entity focused in technical science and education in the Republic of Turkey, is going to celebrate the 242nd anniversary of its founding in 1773 in this year.
The classes in the school were started at November 18th, 1776.
The school look like a noble sycamor thas has very deep roots and their names by the time are;

• Mühendishane-i Bahri-i Hümayun (1773 >)
• Mühendishane-i Berri-i Hümayun (May 10, 1795 >),
• Hendese-i Mülkiye (November 3, 1883 >),
• Mühendis Mekteb-i Alisi (March 20, 1909 >),
• Yüksek Mühendis Mektebi (1928 >),
• İstanbul Teknik Üniversitesi (July 12, 1944>).
